Research

To me working with languages and tools used in Cinema and New Media means researching eternally on the theory and the use of these languages and trying out, as much as possible, the new affordable digital instruments that are thrown onto the market every day.

In 2011, I received a two-year “artist’s trajectory” funding of the Flemish Community of Brussels to support me in this ongoing research. Because of the extra time I needed and the fuss around my first feature “Welcome Home” I asked if the funding could be spread over four years and they luckily accepted.

For the moment my research is principally axed around reading and scanning the internet on the subject but it is starting to influence new ideas for installations and films in the future.
